| 1 March 2010 | Joan Dawson is the author of the Mapmaker's Eye, Historical Atlas of the Maritime Provinces, and the recently published Nova Scotia's Lost Highways; the early roads than shaped the Province. Joan will focus on the social, commercial, industrial and community developments resulting from the developing road system. |
| 1 February 2010 | Sara Beanlands, Darryl Kelman and David Quinn. One of the most fundamental aspects of industrial archaeology is recording sites and understanding how they worked. Tonight's meeting will introduce basic techniques which can be used. We hope to be able to apply these techniques later in the year when IHNS examines an industrial site in Dartmouth. Sara and Darryl are archaeologists employed by CRM Group while David is an architect. |
| 4 January 2010 | Hank Kolstee is the retired Supervisor of land Protection and managed the 240 km tidal dyke system in the Province. He will examine some of the older and modern dyke systems. |
